I like my body when it is with your

body. It is so quite new a thing.
Muscles better and nerves more.
i like your body.  i like what it does,
i like its hows.  i like to feel the spine
of your body and its bones,and the trembling

美国诗人。生于马萨诸塞州的剑桥，父亲是哈佛大学教授，唯一神教牧师。肯明斯自幼喜爱绘画和文学。1915年毕业于哈佛大学，毕业演说以《新艺术》为题，对现代艺术，主要是立体主义、未来主义的绘画，作了大胆的肯定。
